Brent Peters, manager of Bacup Borough Football Club, and Rossendale civic pride groups representatives have recently been honoured by Rossendale Borough Council.
They recieved these certificates of appreciation at Rossendale Council’s latest meeting, with Anne Cheetham, The Mayor of Rossendale, presenting them. Brent Peters was recognised for his 25 years of service to local team, Bacup Borough Football Club.
He said: “I’ve now been at Bacup Borough for 25 years. One of the things that keeps me going is the fact that Rossendale United is no longer here. That’s sad for many people who used to watch or play football at the old Dark Lane ground. However, while I’m here, hopefully Bacup Borough FC will also be here – and for at least another 25 years.”
As supporters of Bacup Borough FC, Shine On Digital would like to extend our congratulations!
